Droid Razr

On October 18, 2011, Motorola and Verizon Wireless officially unveiled the Droid Razr, calling it "the world's thinnest 4G smartphone." The phone is 7.1mm thick, features an 8 MP rear camera, and has a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. It has a 4.3-inch qHD display with Super AMOLED Advanced technology and is powered by Android 2.3. The Droid Razr will be available in early November. The phone is known internationally simply as "Motorola Razr" since the moniker "Droid" is used exclusively by Verizon with an agreement with Lucasfilm. In January 2012 the Droid Razr was revamped with a bigger battery and was called the Razr Maxx. The battery was increased from 1780 mah to 3300 mah. The thickness of the phones backplate was increased to accommodate the larger battery, and the Razr Maxx currently weighs in at 5.11 oz versus the regular Razr at 4.47 oz. The Razr Maxx was released on January 26, 2012. Both the Maxx and the regular Razr are available on Verizon Wireless. After the Razr Maxx was available for sale only in the United States, Motorola announced in April 2012, that it will be also sold in European countries like Britain and Germany from May 2012.
