Hungarian ratings are decided by the Rating Committee of the National Office of Film:

• KN – suitable for all (category I., filled green circle)
• 6 – not suitable for children under 6.(category II., yellow circle with number 6)
• 12 – not suitable for children under 12. (category III., yellow circle with number 12)
• 16 – not suitable for children under 16. (category IV., yellow circle with number 16)
• 18 – not suitable for people under 18. (category V., red circle with number 18)
• X – only for adults (category VI.)

Before 17 October 2002, there was 14 instead of 12 (blue triangle), and until 2012 there was no 6 category.
