Morgan Backpack Camp
The Morgan Backpack Camp (Morgan Territory Regional Preserve) was constructed in 2001 on the Highland Ridge Trail, a section of the Diablo Trail, at the former Cardoza homesite. The site was a campsite on the inaugural 1988 trip on the proposed Diablo Trail and was later improved into a camping facility.

Famous quotes containing the words morgan and/or camp:
“O, pluck was he to the backbone and clear grit through and through;
Boasted and bragged like a trooper; but the big words wouldnt do;
The boy was dying, sir, dying, as plain as plain could be,
Worn out by his ride with Morgan up from the Tennessee.”
—Constance Fenimore Woolson (18401894)
“There was a deserted log camp here, apparently used the previous winter, with its hovel or barn for cattle.... It was a simple and strong fort erected against the cold, and suggested what valiant trencher work had been done there.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
