Morgan Kane - Film Adaptation

Film Adaptation

WR Films Entertainment Group acquired worldwide screen rights to do film adaptations of Morgan Kane, and announced in The Daily Variety on May 9, 2011, they will produce three major motion pictures based on the novels. The film will reportedly begin production in the spring of 2012 and will be released in 2013, with an anticipated R rating. While several western-bloggers have had access to the production set of WR Films' eBook covers related to the introduction of the franchise, the same bloggers also report a high level of secrecy surrounding the project. No filmmakers involved have yet to be announced, including the screenwriter who has adapted the novels “El Gringo” and “El Gringo’s Revenge”.

Famous quotes containing the words film and/or adaptation:

The obvious parallels between Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz have frequently been noted: in both there is the orphan hero who is raised on a farm by an aunt and uncle and yearns to escape to adventure. Obi-wan Kenobi resembles the Wizard; the loyal, plucky little robot R2D2 is Toto; C3PO is the Tin Man; and Chewbacca is the Cowardly Lion. Darth Vader replaces the Wicked Witch: this is a patriarchy rather than a matriarchy.
Andrew Gordon, U.S. educator, critic. “The Inescapable Family in American Science Fiction and Fantasy Films,” Journal of Popular Film and Television (Summer 1992)

The real security of Christianity is to be found in its benevolent morality, in its exquisite adaptation to the human heart, in the facility with which its scheme accommodates itself to the capacity of every human intellect, in the consolation which it bears to the house of mourning, in the light with which it brightens the great mystery of the grave.
    Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859)
