Scientific Studies
Extensive scientific experiments have been performed on the moor frog in an attempt to understand them better. This species is known to have a limited decline in population, but increased acidity levels in breeding areas might be a problem. Studies have shown though that when moor frogs are exposed to acidity they are able to adapt to it and their populations survive.

Famous quotes containing the words scientific and/or studies:
“Culture is the name for what people are interested in, their thoughts, their models, the books they read and the speeches they hear, their table-talk, gossip, controversies, historical sense and scientific training, the values they appreciate, the quality of life they admire. All communities have a culture. It is the climate of their civilization.”
—Walter Lippmann (18891974)
“His life itself passes deeper in nature than the studies of the naturalist penetrate; himself a subject for the naturalist. The latter raises the moss and bark gently with his knife in search of insects; the former lays open logs to their core with his axe, and moss and bark fly far and wide. He gets his living by barking trees. Such a man has some right to fish, and I love to see nature carried out in him.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
