Cheerleading
The Mills Cheer team is most notable for performing during football game and basketball game halftimes. Their largest performance occurs each year during Homecoming season when the Mills football team plays their rivals, the Capuchino Mustangs. Both JV and Varsity cheer teams perform during their games and are known for creating large, 20 foot high run-through signs that the football players must run through once half time is over. In January 2011, the Mills Varsity Cheer squad performed at the NFL Pro Bowl game in Hawaii. They also performed at the 2008 game. They attend the United Spirit Association Cheer Camp every year held at the University of California, Santa Cruz campus. In order to be eligible to perform in the NFL Pro Bowl game each year, they must achieve all "Superior" ratings in all categories judged while at Cheer Camp.
