Millennium Campus Network - Global Generation Awards

Global Generation Awards

Since the fall of 2011, the MCN has been hosting the Global Generation Awards annually during Millennium Campus Conference weekend. The Awards serve to honor extraordinary leaders who are role models in the movement for global justice. The exclusive gathering of 200 civic leaders has raised over $80,000 for the MCN since its inception, and exposed more philanthropists to MCN programming. Notable leaders, from US Seretary of State John Kerry to 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee, have been honored at this special event.

Famous quotes containing the words global and/or generation:

As the global expansion of Indian and Chinese restaurants suggests, xenophobia is directed against foreign people, not foreign cultural imports.
    Eric J. Hobsbawm (b. 1917)

Once I prophesied that this generation of Americans had a rendezvous with destiny. That prophecy now comes true. To us much is given; more is expected. This generation will nobly save or mainly lose the last best hope of earth. The way is plain, peaceful, generous just. A way, which if followed, the world will forever applaud, and God must forever bless.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)
