The Military of Somalia annually celebrates Armed Forces Day on 12 April in commemoration of the establishment of the national Armed Forces in 1960. On 12 April 2010, the military forces of Somalia's autonomous Puntland region staged a military parade to mark the 50th anniversary of Armed Forces Day.
