Miles Gordon Technology, known as MGT, was a small British company, initially specialising in high-quality add-ons for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer. It was founded in June 1986 in Cambridge, England by Alan Miles and Bruce Gordon, former employees of Sinclair Research, after Sinclair sold the rights for the Spectrum to Amstrad. In May 1989 they moved to Swansea, Wales, became a public company in July 1989 and went into receivership in June 1990.

Famous quotes containing the words miles, gordon and/or technology:
“Fruits are acceptable gifts, because they are the flower of commodities, and admit of fantastic values being attached to them. If a man should send to me to come a hundred miles to visit him, and should set before me a basket of fine summer-fruit, I should think there was some proportion between the labor and the reward.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“I stood among them, but not of them; in a shroud
Of thoughts which were not their thoughts.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
“The successor to politics will be propaganda. Propaganda, not in the sense of a message or ideology, but as the impact of the whole technology of the times.”
—Marshall McLuhan (19111980)
