Outside of Coaching
Anderson and his wife, Marcheita, have three children: Darcheita, Michael Jr. and Yvonne; and four grandchildren. Michael Jr. is a former player and is now the team video coordinator, working under his father at Arkansas, while Yvonne is a two-year letterman for the Texas Longhorns women's basketball team as a junior.
Nephew DeMarre Carroll was the team's leading scorer his senior year and now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, and nephew T.J. Cleveland is currently an assistant coach.
