Mid-west Seed Services
SGS Mid-West Seed Services, Inc., also known as SGS MWSS is a full-service seed testing laboratory started by Tim Gutormson and Sharon Hanson-Gutormson. The company has been in business since July 1993 and works with over 1,500 seed company accounts from 43 states and several countries. SGS MWSS is an ISTA accredited laboratory, as well as ISO 9001:2000 certified. In the summer of 2007, SGS MWSS was acquired by the Swiss testing and verification group Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS).
