Microsoft Remote Web Workplace

Microsoft Remote Web Workplace

The Remote Web Workplace is a feature of Microsoft's Windows Small Business Server, Windows Home Server 2011, and the midsize business-focused product, Windows Essential Business Server, which enables existing users to log in to a front-end network-facing interface of the small business/home server.

After logging in to Remote Web Workplace (using their usual Windows domain username and password) a user can access enabled features of the Small Business Server or Essential Business Server such as Outlook Web Access, viewing of SharePoint pages and (if a machine is running and allows it) full remote control of client machines connected to server's network.

Famous quotes containing the words remote, web and/or workplace:

All our civilization had meant nothing. The same culture that had nurtured the kindly enlightened people among whom I had been brought up, carried around with it war. Why should I not have known this? I did know it, but I did not believe it. I believed it as we believe we are going to die. Something that is to happen in some remote time.
    Mary Heaton Vorse (1874–1966)

If our web be framed with rotten handles, when our loom is well nigh done, our work is new to begin. God send the weaver true prentices again, and let them be denizens.
    Elizabeth I (1533–1603)

Many people will say to working mothers, in effect, “I don’t think you can have it all.” The phrase for “have it all” is code for “have your cake and eat it too.” What these people really mean is that achievement in the workplace has always come at a price—usually a significant personal price; conversely, women who stayed home with their children were seen as having sacrificed a great deal of their own ambition for their families.
    Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)
