Michigan Twins Project
The Michigan Twins Project (MTP) is an on-going, population-based study of roughly 20,000 same-sex male, same-sex female, and opposite sex twins between the ages of 3 and 25 years old. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate genetic and environmental influences on a range of physical and mental health variables, as well as to compile a database of twin families in Michigan interested in participating in future twin research.

Famous quotes containing the words twins and/or project:
“There is absolutely no evidencedevelopmental or otherwiseto support separating twins in school as a general policy. . . . The best policy seems to be no policy at all, which means that each year, you and your children need to decide what will work best for you.”
—Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)
“They had their fortunes to make, everything to gain and nothing to lose. They were schooled in and anxious for debates; forcible in argument; reckless and brilliant. For them it was but a short and natural step from swaying juries in courtroom battles over the ownership of land to swaying constituents in contests for office. For the lawyer, oratory was the escalator that could lift a political candidate to higher ground.”
—Federal Writers Project Of The Wor, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
