In September 2010 HarperCollins will release Ford's next YA novel. Titled Z it tells the story of a young man who finds that his involvement with a zombie hunting role playing game is much more than it seems. This will be followed in early 2011 by Jane Goes Batty, the second in Ford's Jane Austen-as-a-vampire trilogy for Ballantine Books.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or times:
“It is not however, adulthood itself, but parenthood that forms the glass shroud of memory. For there is an interesting quirk in the memory of women. At 30, women see their adolescence quite clearly. At 30 a womans adolescence remains a facet fitting into her current self.... At 40, however, memories of adolescence are blurred. Women of this age look much more to their earlier childhood for memories of themselves and of their mothers. This links up to her typical parenting phase.”
—Terri Apter (20th century)
“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose: at the festival of unleavened bread, at the festival of weeks, and at the festival of booths. They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed; all shall give as they are able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you.”
—Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 16:16,17.
