Michael Bradley (soccer) - Early Life

Early Life

Bradley was born in Princeton, New Jersey, son to Bob Bradley, then coach of the Princeton University soccer team. While his father was the coach at Princeton, the family lived in Pennington, New Jersey.

Michael spent his teenage years in Palatine, Illinois, while his father coached the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer (MLS), and he grew up playing for Sockers FC, who went to the 2002 National Championship and finished third. He later attended the United States Under-17 Men's National Team Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida — the dedicated facility for the training of the Under-17 national team — for four semesters, from the 2002 to 2004.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

We early arrive at the great discovery that there is one mind common to all individual men: that what is individual is less than what is universal ... that error, vice and disease have their seat in the superficial or individual nature.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The value of life lies not in the length of days but in the use you make of them; he has lived for a long time who has little lived.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
