The Mianzini mole rat or Mianzini African mole rat (Tachyoryctes annectens) is a species of rodent in the Spalacidae family endemic to Kenya. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, pastureland, and rural gardens.
Famous quotes containing the words mole and/or rat:
“The ignorance and darkness that is in us, no more hinders nor confines the knowledge that is in others, than the blindness of a mole is an argument against the quicksightedness of an eagle.”
—John Locke (1632–1704)
“Your rat tail is all the fashion now. I prefer a bushy plume, carried straight up. You are Siamese and your ancestors lived in trees. Mine lived in palaces. It has been suggested to me that I am a bit of a snob. How true! I prefer to be.”
—Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)
