The car was featured prominently on the long-running series One Tree Hill. The character Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) drove a black Comet convertible. Her on-screen love interest, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) named his second novel The Comet in honor of Peyton and her car.
