Real Life Application
Further information: AbstractionAs shown in the studies athletes are more spatially aware because their training makes them have to be. Dancers are also very spatially aware, due to the immense amount of training and practice of turns and mental rehearsal. The more musical or athletic a person is, the more they are spatially aware and can rotate images in the environment. The use of mental rotation can be strengthened by becoming trained in a certain art or sport. Without mental rotation people would not be able to process information as quickly and accurately.

Famous quotes containing the words real life, real, life and/or application:
“In the twentieth century, death terrifies men less than the absence of real life. All these dead, mechanized, specialized actions, stealing a little bit of life a thousand times a day until the mind and body are exhausted, until that death which is not the end of life but the final saturation with absence.”
—Raoul Vaneigem (b. 1934)
“As in private life one differentiates between what a man thinks and says of himself and what he really is and does, so in historical struggles one must still more distinguish the language and the imaginary aspirations of parties from their real organism and their real interests, their conception of themselves from their reality.”
—Karl Marx (18181883)
“All animals, except man, know that the principal business of life is to enjoy it.”
—Samuel Butler (18351902)
“It is known that Whistler when asked how long it took him to paint one of his nocturnes answered: All of my life. With the same rigor he could have said that all of the centuries that preceded the moment when he painted were necessary. From that correct application of the law of causality it follows that the slightest event presupposes the inconceivable universe and, conversely, that the universe needs even the slightest of events.”
—Jorge Luis Borges (18991986)
