Maya Pencheva (Bulgarian: Майя Стефанова Пенчева, pronounced ; born 3 May 1947) is a Bulgarian linguist best known for her work on English word formation, semantics and language typology.
Maya Pencheva, D.Litt., is Professor of English Linguistics at the Department of English and American Studies, St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia.
