Max Planck Institute For Intellectual Property and Competition Law

The Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law (German: Max-Planck-Institut für Immaterialgüter- und Wettbewerbsrecht) is a Munich, Germany, -based institute, part of the research institutions of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, which manages more than 90 institutes and research institutions. It has the research areas: "intellectual property and competition law", and "General Private and Commercial Law, Miscellaneous Law". It edits the International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law (IIC). As of 2011, Prof. Reto M. Hilty is the executive director of the Institute. Other directors include Prof. Josef Drexl, Prof. Emeritus Gerhard Schricker and Prof. Emeritus Joseph Straus.
