Awards and Honors
Gee was awarded the 1978 James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his novel Plumb. He is an Honorary Associate of the New Zealand Association of Rationalists and Humanists.
In 2002, Gee became the twelfth recipient of the Margaret Mahy Award.
