Masters Edition - Notable Cards

Notable Cards

  • Force of Will — This card was originally released in Alliances as an uncommon but is reprinted as a rare in Masters Edition. Force of Will is a staple in almost every competitive Legacy and Classic (the online almost-equivalent of Vintage) deck, that includes blue. It is thus highly sought after and has become the most expensive card on Magic Online with its foil version selling for more than $200.
  • Hymn to Tourach — Originally released in Fallen Empires as a common, Hymn to Tourach is now an uncommon in Masters Edition. Despite coming from Fallen Empires, a set often shunned as one of the weakest ever, the card is one of the most efficient discard spells in Magic.

Famous quotes containing the words notable and/or cards:

In one notable instance, where the United States Army and a hundred years of persuasion failed, a highway has succeeded. The Seminole Indians surrendered to the Tamiami Trail. From the Everglades the remnants of this race emerged, soon after the trail was built, to set up their palm-thatched villages along the road and to hoist tribal flags as a lure to passing motorists.
—For the State of Florida, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

Out in Hollywood, where the streets are paved with Goldwyn, the word “sophisticate” means, very simply, “obscene.” A sophisticated story is a dirty story. Some of that meaning was wafted eastward and got itself mixed up into the present definition. So that a “sophisticate” means: one who dwells in a tower made of a DuPont substitute for ivory and holds a glass of flat champagne in one hand and an album of dirty post cards in the other.
    Dorothy Parker (1893–1967)
