Master of Epic is a Free Japanese MMORPG, but is still not released in outside of Japan. It was adapted into an Anime (Master of Epic: The Animation Age) by the Studio GONZO and aired on TV Tokyo in 2007. Unlike many MMORPGs, Master of Epic has dispatched with Levels and instead the player has an extensive list of skills, from strength to clubs to magics to business, that level up through use. Classes are not chosen. However, titles are earned when certain skills or combinations of skills reach high enough ranks. Some of its other distinguishing features include the presence of hunger and thirst which will inhibit your combat abilities when they run low, and flies gathering around you if your hair goes unwashed for too long.
Famous quotes containing the words master of, master and/or epic:
“Alcohol doesn’t console, it doesn’t fill up anyone’s psychological gaps, all it replaces is the lack of God. It doesn’t comfort man. On the contrary, it encourages him in his folly, it transports him to the supreme regions where he is master of his own destiny.”
—Marguerite Duras (b. 1914)
“I marvel thy master hath not eaten thee for a word, for thou art not so long by the head as honorificabilitudinitatibus.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
“In an age robbed of religious symbols, going to the shops replaces going to the church.... We have a free choice, but at a price. We can win experience, but never achieve innocence. Marx knew that the epic activities of the modern world involve not lance and sword but dry goods.”
—Stephen Bayley (b. 1951)
