Due to the success of the company's professional and collegiate titles, Mascot Books has developed a new Mascot Books Author Program, focusing on self-publishing the works of authors all across the country. Mascot Books offers an innovative way to self-publish children's books on a wide variety of subjects. The company provides book production, marketing, and distribution for many first time authors. Mascot Books is currently working with several notable sports personalities as well.
In 2010, preschool teacher Cyndie Moore published her first children's book with Mascot Books, called "Shoe Trouble", based on her experiences as a preschool teacher in Eufaula, Alabama.
