Author
In July 2002 he published a book, "Self-destruction -The Judgement Day-" (自爆 -The Judgement Day-, Jibaku -The Judgement Day-?), in which he talks about the scandal, his family, life in jail and his comeback to the entertainment world. He confessed to using amphetamines in the book, stating that his first drug use was in Hawaii in April 1998. However, he contradicted this statement when he said that "I used amphetamines and marijuana first in Hawaii in May 1991" in a second trial on December 17, 2004. He also said that his first amphetamine use in Japan was in April, 2001.

Famous quotes containing the word author:
“Certain books seem to have been written not for the purpose that we learn something from them but that we know that the author was a knowledgeable person.”

“Th increasing prospect tires our wandring eyes.
Hills peep oer hills, and Alps on Alps arise!
A perfect Judge will read each work of Wit

Survey the Whole, nor seek slight faults to find
Where nature moves, and rapture warms the mind;”

“There is then creative reading as well as creative writing. When the mind is braced by labor and invention, the page of whatever book we read becomes luminous with manifold allusion. Every sentence is doubly significant, and the sense of our author is as broad as the world.”
