Institute Relationships
The Institute is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. It has close relationships with the Ogilvie Institute, and offers courses accredited by the Open University. The emphasis of the Institute being on Parish Catechesis, the Maryvale Institute has close relationships with its predecessor, the diocesan seminary, St Mary's College, Oscott, which moved to a nearby site in 1838. As the validator of BA(Divinity) and MA(Catholic Theology) programmes, the institute is linked to St. Patrick's College, Maynooth(Pontifical University).
