Famous quotes containing the words martin and/or pickford:

    Old Mother Hubbard
    Went to the cupboard
To get her poor dog a bone:
    But when she got there
    The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.
    —Sarah Catherine Martin (1768–1826)

I sometimes wonder whether, in the still, sleepless hours of the night, the consciences of ... professional gossips do not stalk them. —Mary Pickford (1893–1979)
