Description
Marin Transit utilizes four contractors to provide public transit service within Marin County.
- Golden Gate Transit operates all of the local bus service, consisting of eleven local fixed routes and six supplemental school service fixed routes. It also operates one seasonal supplemental school service fixed route.
- MV Transportation operates two fixed routes using Marin Transit's West Marin Stagecoach brand. It also operates one seasonal local fixed route.
- Marin Airporter operates four local shuttle fixed routes.
- Whistlestop Wheels operates the Novato Dial-a-Ride demand-response service and the county's ADA complementary paratransit service.
Combined, these Marin Transit services serve all major cities, towns, and communities within Marin County except for Muir Beach, Peacock Gap, and parts of West Marin (beyond Inverness).
