Margarethe Lenore Selenka

Lenore Margarethe Selenka-Heinemann (Hamburg, October 7, 1860 - Munich, December 16, 1922) was a German zoologist, anthropologist, feminist and pacifist. She was one of the first female scientists whose work was widely recognized. She is known for her research on apes and scientific expeditions to the Dutch East Indies.
