Band
The band is under direction by Brad Bonebrake, Chris Kanicki, and Shawn Hart. Mansfield Summit High School has always been at the top when it comes to band in north Texas. With consistent UIL 1 ratings in both concert and marching band. In 2006 the Summit High School marching band placed sixth in UIL area B marching finals earning them alternate to state. Other awards for marching band include Grand Champion of the Aledo Marching festival, UTA marching contest, Midlothian marching contest, along with many others. In 2008 the band performed "insomnia" earning them 1st at Aledo Marching Festival, 2nd place 5A at HEB marching contest, and many other awards. In 2009, they performed "foolish reflections" earning them 1st at Aledo Marching Festival for the third consecutive time.
