Acting

Mandy Kane plays the lead role in a short film called "eleVATE", which he also scored and wrote the theme song for, titled "Glitch" (included on the Murder In The Daylight EP). The movie is about a man who has an unhealthy obsession with an elevator. Blink, and you will miss his cameo role in "BoyTown", an Australian comedy starring Mick Molloy with ensemble cast. He was also cast in a cameo role in "Dead Country" (despite being top-billed in promotional material), an independent straight-to-DVD horror film directed by Andrew Merkelbach. In the film, Kane plays a dope-smoking zombie.

Famous quotes containing the word acting:

Often, when there is a conflict between parent and child, at its very hub is an expectation that the child should be acting differently. Sometimes these expectations run counter what is known about children’s growth. They stem from remembering oneself, but usually at a slightly older age.
    Ellen Galinsky (20th century)

I could live without acting.... Acting is a gift I’ve received. And I’m grateful for it and I enjoy it. But it’s not the main point of my life. It never was.
    Jeanne Moreau (b. 1928)

Its idea of “production value” is spending a million dollars dressing up a story that any good writer would throw away. Its vision of the rewarding movie is a vehicle for some glamour-puss with two expressions and eighteen changes of costume, or for some male idol of the muddled millions with a permanent hangover, six worn-out acting tricks, the build of a lifeguard, and the mentality of a chicken-strangler.
    Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)
