Famous quotes containing the words state and/or titles:

Boys, when you see the enemy, fire and then run, and as I am a little lame, I will run now.
—For the State of Rhode Island, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

We have to be despised by somebody whom we regard as above us, or we are not happy; we have to have somebody to worship and envy, or we cannot be content. Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
