Several bus lines serve the market at the Agrippas end. The first line (red line) of the Jerusalem Light Rail, a system that opened in August 2011, has a Mahane Yehuda station on Jaffa Road, across from the market. The new light rail stop has been linked both to the revival of the market and to plans for changes in the area surrounding it.
