Palette Extension To Workbench Defaults
MUI extended Workbench's four-colour palette with four additional colours, allowing smoother gradients with less noticeable dithering. The MagicWB companion to MUI made use of this extended palette to provide more attractive icons to replace the dated Workbench defaults. MUI 4 added support for alpha blending and support for user defined widget shapes.

Famous quotes containing the words palette and/or extension:
“I have heard that hysterical women say
They are sick of the palette and fiddle-bow,
Of poets that are always gay,”
—William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
“The desert is a natural extension of the inner silence of the body. If humanity’s language, technology, and buildings are an extension of its constructive faculties, the desert alone is an extension of its capacity for absence, the ideal schema of humanity’s disappearance.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
