Madden NFL 09 - Issues

Issues

Shortly after the release of Madden NFL 09, consumers began reporting several freezing errors in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. EA has since confirmed the issue, and stated that they are working on a patch for the two consoles to locate the source of the freezing and fix the issue. However, this problem has caused many gamers to doubt the advantages of games being able to be patched on consoles, and instead gamers have criticized this 'feature' for allowing companies to rush games and rely on post-release patches to fix the issues that consumers themselves find. Other minor issues were player photos, roster updates for Madden 09 had KeJuan Jones's photo wrong and several player's photos were larger than normal and not one thing was reviewed on the Xbox 360. A roster error in the game is that the New York Giants former defensive end Michael Strahan appears in the game, although he retired after Super Bowl XLII.

Famous quotes containing the word issues:

The “universal moments” of child rearing are in fact nothing less than a confrontation with the most basic problems of living in society: a facing through one’s children of all the conflicts inherent in human relationships, a clarification of issues that were unresolved in one’s own growing up. The experience of child rearing not only can strengthen one as an individual but also presents the opportunity to shape human relationships of the future.
    Elaine Heffner (20th century)

The hard truth is that what may be acceptable in elite culture may not be acceptable in mass culture, that tastes which pose only innocent ethical issues as the property of a minority become corrupting when they become more established. Taste is context, and the context has changed.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

How to attain sufficient clarity of thought to meet the terrifying issues now facing us, before it is too late, is ... important. Of one thing I feel reasonably sure: we can’t stop to discuss whether the table has or hasn’t legs when the house is burning down over our heads. Nor do the classics per se seem to furnish the kind of education which fits people to cope with a fast-changing civilization.
    Mary Barnett Gilson (1877–?)
