Macquarie Fields High School - Academic Results

Academic Results

Although partially a selective high school, the friendly and highly co-operative environment between non selective and selective students have contributed to academic results increasing every year in government NAPLAN literacy and numeracy tests, School Certificate Tests and the Higher School Certificate. These advances have ultimately resulted into Macquarie Fields High School being just out of the top 100 of New South Wales Schools in terms of 2009 HSC outcomes ranking 108th and of 2012 ranking 107th.

Famous quotes containing the words academic and/or results:

If twins are believed to be less intelligent as a class than single-born children, it is not surprising that many times they are also seen as ripe for social and academic problems in school. No one knows the extent to which these kind of attitudes affect the behavior of multiples in school, and virtually nothing is known from a research point of view about social behavior of twins over the age of six or seven, because this hasn’t been studied either.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)

“The ideal reasoner,” he remarked, “would, when he had once been shown a single fact in all its bearings, deduce from it not only all the chain of events which led up to it but also all the results which would follow from it.”
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)
