Athletics

For girls, the school sponsors interscholastic teens which compete in Illinois High School Association (IHSA) sponsored state tournaments in: basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, Swimming swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and water polo. Wrestling is designated as a coed sport at Lyons. There are also boys' and girls'lacrosse teams and an ice hockey team. Boys also compete in baseball and football, while girls also compete in badminton and softball.

The following teams have finished in the top four of their respective IHSA state championship tournament:
