Lupo Class Frigate
The Lupo class is a class of frigates built by Cantieri Navali Riuniti (CNR) for the Italian Navy. Designed as multipurpose warships with emphasis on anti-surface warfare (ASuW), they have enjoyed some success in the export market, being acquired by the navies of Peru and Venezuela. A small run of a slightly updated version is known as the Soldati class.

Famous quotes containing the words class and/or frigate:
“A theory of the middle class: that it is not to be determined by its financial situation but rather by its relation to government. That is, one could shade down from an actual ruling or governing class to a class hopelessly out of relation to government, thinking of govt as beyond its control, of itself as wholly controlled by govt. Somewhere in between and in gradations is the group that has the sense that govt exists for it, and shapes its consciousness accordingly.”
—Lionel Trilling (19051975)
“There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry.”
—Emily Dickinson (18301886)
