Conclusions
An ever-increasing number of people are at risk of visual impairment as populations grow and demographic shifts move towards the predominance of older age groups. Potentially blinding eye conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma are increasing as the number of people affected grows. These are non-communicable chronic eye diseases to which the principles of long-term care including issues of cost of treatment and compliance (adherence) apply. Additionally, more programmes for those with low vision will need to be made available.

Famous quotes containing the word conclusions:
“Life is the art of drawing sufficient conclusions from insufficient premises.”
—Samuel Butler (18351902)
“I have always been, am, and propose to remain a mere scholar. All that I have ever proposed to myself is to say, this and this I have learned; thus and thus have I learned it; go thou and learn better; but do not thrust on my shoulders the responsibility for your own laziness if you elect to take, on my authority, conclusions the value of which you ought to have tested for yourself.”
—Thomas Henry Huxley (182595)
“Now, were I once at home, and in good satire,
Id try conclusions with those Janizaries,
And show them what an intellectual war is.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
