Former executives and contributors at Louise Blouin Media include founding President, Ben Crawford, who consolidated the acquired businesses into a single company, European Editorial Director Meredith Etherington-Smith, former Conde Nast editorial director James Truman, who was made CEO and resigned in 2006. The company is based in New York City after moving from London.

In December 2011, Louise Blouin Media was sued for defamation in United States district court for a September 16, 2011 article written by Noah Charney on Artinfo.com in which Charney stated a forensic art expert "was part of a family of art forgers, and that he had been planting the forensic evidence into the questionable works himself."

In August 2012, Louise Blouin Media launched Blouin News (www.blouinnews.com), "a ground-breaking news site that combines the best of news curation with the best of original analysis."

Famous quotes containing the words louise and/or media:

If all feeling for grace and beauty were not extinguished in the mass of mankind at the actual moment, such a method of locomotion as cycling could never have found acceptance; no man or woman with the slightest aesthetic sense could assume the ludicrous position necessary for it.
Ouida [Marie Louise De La Ramée] (1839–1908)

The question confronting the Church today is not any longer whether the man in the street can grasp a religious message, but how to employ the communications media so as to let him have the full impact of the Gospel message.
Pope John Paul II (b. 1920)
