Los Del Río (, "They from the river"), also known as The Del Rios, was a Spanish Latin Pop duo who formed in 1992 and broke up in mid-2007. They were best known by their smash-hit and hot dance single "Macarena", originally released in early 1994. The song peaked at the Hot Dance Singles and Billboard 200 by mid-1994. The song became a big hit in US and Mexico. The group decided to make a few remixes and other styles of the song.
The single "Tengo, Tengo" was released on February 18, 1996, and appeared later that year on the album Fiesta Macarena. The group ultimately released six albums: A Mi Me Gusta, Macarena Non Stop, Fiesta Macarena, Colores, Rio y Guestano and Alegria y Cosabuena. Five of the albums featured versions of "Macarena", in different styles and remixes.
Los Del Rio collaborated with Bahama pop rap group Baha Men on the 1997 single "Car Loca Rosa", which featured the group and hip hop musician MC Hammer. A remix of the song was released on June 12, 1998, edited by Fangoria (band); when they did not receive credit for the track, members Olvido Gara and Nacho Canut filed suit against Los Del Río.
Because of their considerable success worldwide, their native town of Dos Hermanas has named a new municipal music hall, the Anfiteatro Los Del Río, after them.
