Southwark has a large variety of housing, including substantial areas of council housing, including very large estates such as the Aylesbury Estate and the Heygate Estate. Southwark is the London Borough with the largest amount of social housing that is still under direct council control. It also has an active Tenant management organisation sector, of which Leathermarket JMB is the largest.
