Logos And Uniforms Of The Boston Red Sox
The primary home uniform for the Boston Red Sox is white with red piping around the neck and down either side of the front placket and "RED SOX" in red letters outlined in blue arched across the chest. This has been in use since 1979, and was previously used from 1933 to 1972, although the piping occasionally disappeared and reappeared; in between the Red Sox wore pullovers with the same "RED SOX" template. There are red numbers, but no player name, on the back of the home uniform.

Famous quotes containing the words uniforms, boston and/or red:
“I place these numbed wrists to the pane
watching white uniforms whisk over
him in the tube-kept
prison
fear what they will do in experiment”
—Michael S. Harper (b. 1938)
“The ideal of men and women sharing equally in parenting and working is a vision still. What would it be like if women and men were less different from each other, if our worlds were not so foreign? A male friend who shares daily parenting told me that he knows at his very core what his wifes loving for their daughter feels like, and that this knowing creates a stronger bond between them.”
—Anonymous Mother. Ourselves and Our Children, by Boston Womens Health Book Collective, ch. 6 (1978)
“O my luves like a red, red rose Thats newly sprung in June;
O my luves like the melodie Thats sweetly playd in tune.”
—Robert Burns (17591796)
