Living Color

Living color could refer to at least two things:

  • In Living Color, a sketch comedy television series that was produced in the early 1990s
  • Living Colour, a band
  • The American television network NBC used the catchphrase "in living color" to promote its color telecasts during the 1950s and 1960s.

Famous quotes containing the words living and/or color:

    A worm tells summer better than the clock,
    The slug’s a living calendar of days;
    What shall it tell me if a timeless insect
    Says the world wears away?
    Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

    Painting seems to be to the eye what dancing is to the limbs. When that has educated the frame to self-possession, to nimbleness, to grace, the steps of the dancing-master are better forgotten; so painting teaches me the splendor of color and the expression of form, and as I see many pictures and higher genius in the art, I see the boundless opulence of the pencil, the indifferency in which the artist stands free to choose out of the possible forms.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
