Academically, 29% of GCSE students in 2008 achieved 5 A*-C grades, including English and Maths, representing a 1% decrease compared to 2007. At Key Stage 5, 2008 saw the school achieve an A/AS-Level points rating of 649.3, a significant improvement on previous years.
