History
Little Kingshill Combined School has grown from a small Chilterns village school, housed in a Victorian building, to a combined school with a Nursery and Primary units. The school is controlled by Buckinghamshire County Council. The school is now housed in separate modern blocks for KS1 and KS2. The school has a wide range of faciliites including a modern ICT suite and large outdoor playing fields. It also offers many clubs and activities after school hours. The Nursery Class is situated on the other side of the road in the original 1887 Victorian building. However, liaison between Nursery and Reception teachers is close, the transition from Nursery to Reception is very smooth and the children settle quickly into life at school. The school motto is 'Learning has no Limits'.
The Village Hall is incorporated into the school site. The school uses it during the day and the local community uses it during evenings and weekends. This allows the school the use of two halls, the Village Hall and its own, for most of the week and this provides an extensively used community resource.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon than the Word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind.”
—Thomas Paine (17371809)
“When the landscape buckles and jerks around, when a dust column of debris rises from the collapse of a block of buildings on bodies that could have been your own, when the staves of history fall awry and the barrel of time bursts apart, some turn to prayer, some to poetry: words in the memory, a stained book carried close to the body, the notebook scribbled by handa center of gravity.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“The history of medicine is the history of the unusual.”
—Robert M. Fresco, and Jack Arnold. Prof. Gerald Deemer (Leo G. Carroll)
