Civil and Commercial Law

It is influenced by the civil codes of Quebec and the Netherlands. The commercial law in Lithuania is of an increasingly excellent drafting quality and the market in Lithuanian legal services is now increasingly competitive.

Famous quotes containing the words civil and, civil, commercial and/or law:
“They who say that women do not desire the right of suffrage, that they prefer masculine domination to self-government, falsify every page of history, every fact in human experience. It has taken the whole power of the civil and canon law to hold woman in the subordinate position which it is said she willingly accepts.”
—Elizabeth Cady Stanton (18151902)
“Childrens liberation is the next item on our civil rights shopping list.”
—Letty Cottin Pogrebin (b. 1939)
“The cultivation of one set of faculties tends to the disuse of others. The loss of one faculty sharpens others; the blind are sensitive in touch. Has not the extreme cultivation of the commercial faculty permitted others as essential to national life, to be blighted by disease?”
—J. Ellen Foster (18401910)
“The older I get the more I trust in the law according to which the rose and the lily bloom.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
