Jackson's Whole
A planet with no government other than the predatory capitalistic "Houses", each led by a "Baron". Much of the population is in "techno-serfdom" to one of the Houses, or ekes out a miserable existence outside of House protection. Everything is done based on what you can pay for, and only "THE DEAL" is sacred. The climate is cold and dry. Homeworld of Mark Pierre Vorkosigan.
