  • John D. Caputo: Caputo is the Thomas J. Watson Professor of Humanities at Syracuse University and the founder of weak theology. Much of Caputo's work focuses on hermeneutics, phenomenology, deconstruction, and theology. He attempts to read the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard as a deconstructionist.
  • Stanley Cavell: Cavell is an American philosopher. He is the Walter M. Cabot Professor Emeritus of Aesthetics and the General Theory of Value at Harvard University. Cavell has written on Derrida's work.
  • Joseph Cohen: Cohen is Lecturer in Contemporary Philosophy at University College Dublin. He has authored Le spectre juif de Hegel (Paris, Galilée, 2005), Le sacrifice de Hegel (Paris, Galilée, 2007), and Alternances de la métaphysique. Essais sur Emmanuel Levinas (Paris, Galilée, 2009). In addition he co-edited in collaboration with Raphael Zagury-Orly, Judéités. Questions pour Jacques Derrida (Paris, Galilée, 2003; English translation at Fordham University Press: (eds. B. Bergo, J. Cohen, M. Smith, R. Zagury-Orly, 2007) and in collaboration with Gérard Bensussan, a volume entitled Heidegger. Le danger et la promesse (Paris, Kimé, 2006). He is, since 2008, a permanent member of the Editorial Committee of the French journal Les Temps Modernes (Paris, Gallimard). He recently co-edited, with Raphael Zagury-Orly, Derrida. L'événement déconstruction (Paris, Gallimard, July-October 2012, no. 669-670).
  • Hélène Cixous: Cixous is a professor, French feminist writer, poet, playwright, philosopher, literary critic and rhetorician.
  • Drucilla Cornell: Cornell is a professor of political science, women's studies, and comparative literature at Rutgers University.
  • Simon Critchley: Critchley teaches philosophy at the New School for Social Research and European Graduate School. Critchley has written a number of books on Derrida, including The Ethics of Deconstruction: Derrida and Levinas and Ethics-Politics-Subjectivity: Essays on Derrida, Levinas, and Contemporary French Thought. Critchley has said that Derrida was a "brilliant reader" and that it is imperative to follow his example.
  • Jonathan Culler: Culler is Class of 1916 Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Cornell University. He has written a number of books about deconstruction.
