Mrs. Conrad is the mother of Brian and Belinda Conrad. Joe describes her as a ‘‘fire-breathing dragon’’. Her eyes and face are red and swollen from either drinking or crying. She smokes Cigars and has a bad temper. She and her husband are miserable people and it’s surprising they're still together.
